  • Why did Washington have to attack?
  • What day did he attack and what kind of strategy/plan did he use?
  • What two rules of war did Washington and his army break at this battle?
  • What ignorant thing did Colonel Rall do with the note given to him by a spy?
  • What state did Washington lose control of prior to the Battle of Trenton?
  • Along with many American citizens, many Continental Soldiers re-enlisted after this battle. Why?
  • Define mercenaries, continentals, enlist, desert, and strategy.

Homework - 2/2/09

Periods 1, 3, 8, and 9 - Your Battles of the Revolutionary War Project will be due on Monday. Below is a rough draft of the requirements for the project. If you feel something is missing write it down and bring it to my attention tomorrow. Good luck and have fun.

Requirements:
-Drawing of some sort – neat, use color

-TITLE – Be Original DO NOT JUST WRITE THE NAME OF THE BATTLE!

-Include Captions

-Please use correct colors to depict participants in the battle – British=red, C.A. = blue, Hessians=Green and red, French=light blue (Carolina Blue)

-Include accurate facts…you must give me a detailed description of what occurred at the battle, et al. who fought, who won, what state

-basic grammar skills will be evaluated – sentence structure, punctuation, spelling, word choice/vocabulary, etc.
